Objective: This study is carried out to develop a measurement tool which is tested for its validity and reliability where it could be used to determine level of satisfaction in patients having chemotherapeutics related to nursing care. Method: In this study “Patient Satisfaction Scale” is used to determine satisfaction level of patients having chemotherapeutics according to patient care of nurses. Validity and reliability of such scale is verified by statistical analyses based on 50 patients. Findings: To verify reliability of the scale, test-retest reliability is obtained and correlation coefficients for each material are found to be over 0.75 between two applications. Correlation coefficients over 0.001 are set as reliable for all materials. Measurement tool is found to be valid as aterials called “patient satisfaction” took scores between 0.51-0.84 which are 29 materials summed as one factor. They are btained after factor analysis applied to scale and tructural validity. Based on reliability analysis and total orrelation of each material, high correlation coefficients between 0.50-0.80 showed consistencies of each material between each other. Result: Structural validity, internal reliability and applicability of patient satisfactory scale which is developed for measurement of satisfaction of patients having chemotherapy is approved by Cronbach ∝ analysis, factor analysis and t-test results.
