Abstract

24 cases suffering from obscure pulmonary pathology were subjected to unilateral scalene node biopsy. In 4 cases (17%) glands could not be obtained. In 35% of the remaining cases definite diagnostic histology in the glands was revealed. Various factors, influencing the results obtained, have been discussed.
