Abstract3 cases suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis with recurrent and severe haemoptysis were controlled successfully with artificial pneumo- thorax when all the conservative attempts to produce haemoptysis had failed. It is inferred that artificial pneumothorax is a valuable tool in the management of such cases.
