Abstract

This retrospective study of the trend of tuberculosis in a rural area with a definite control programme over a period of 14 years, shows that it was effective for diminishing the total pool of infectious cases and the yearly incidence of the disease. It was, however, not effective enough for quick control of the disease thereafter.
