A brief review of the literature pertaining to leukaemoid and other abnormal haematological reaction to disseminated tuberculosis is given. 3. The peculiar pathology and pathogenesis of this condition is discussed. The importance of bone marrow and liver biopsies in the diagnosis of this condition is emphasised. 4. The importance of recognising this association in our country, where tuberculosis still remains a major killer, is stressed.
