Abstract

Gowri chinthamani chendoorum is a commonly used siddha mercurial preparation.Mercurials are the powerful weapons of Siddha pharmacological armamentarium in attacking intractable diseases. The chendoorum is prepared according to a unique method described in Agasthiyar vaidhya kaaviyum -1500. This medicine is compared with that of the medicne which is common in practice now.The importance of pudam by classical method to ensure the drug safety is proved by analytical tool.
