Abstract

The talk discusses on concepts of journal publishing and open access and its impact. It highlights the role of open access in the success of many journals published by Medknow Publications. Medknow, based in Mumbai, has pioneered the move of open access publication of medical print journals in the world, which does not charge author or author's institution for submission, processing or publication of articles.
