Abstract

A free Siddha Medical and Herbal awareness program was conducted on the 8th and 9th December 1999 at Govt. Adi-Dravida welfare Higher Secondary School for Tribe by the Siddha wing of Govt. Primary Health Center, Top Sengattupatty, Trichy district, Tamilnadu. A total number of 531 tribal school children were screened for their state of health in Personal Hygiene, Dental and Ophthalmic problems, Helminthic infection and the prevalence of Anemia, Skin diseases and other probable systemic diseases. The results of the screening was documented and submitted to the Tiruchirappalli District Collector.
