Abstract

A controlled study was conducted among randomly selected urban patients of pulmonary tuberculosis in which the patients were 'motivated” along with their household members every month for a period of three months from the time of starting of treatment. The drug collection pattern among the patients in the 'motivation' group was found to be better than among the patient in 'control' group who did not have the benefit of home visiting.
