Abstract

The Kaani tribes of Tirunelveli district, Tamilnadu has rich Traditional medicine heritage carried over generations. This survey is done in order: • To document the Ethno-medical knowledge of the Kaani Tribes of Tirunelveli District, Tamilnadu, India. • To compile their age old medical practices, diagnostic methods, home remedies etc. • To assess further scope of exploring their medicines scientifically.
