AbstractSerum total LDH and its Isonezymes were studied in 157 cases of Pulmonary Tuberculosis. Cases were sub divided into ‘Minimal”, ‘Moderately advanced’ and ‘Far advanced 1 depending upon the extent of lung lesions. 100 healthy subjects served as controls. Total LDH activity was significantly increased in all stages of the disease. Elevated M/H ratio, with a shift of H form to M form of enzyme was pronounced in moderately advanced cases as compared to patients with minimal and far advanced lesions. However, no positive correlation was apparent between the extent of lung lesion and altera-tion Wf M/H ratio.
