Carrageenin induced rat paw oedema, method of winter et al (1962) was employed. Paw volume was measured by plethysmograph. The maximum anti-inflammatory effect produced by Kalnar parpam in the dose of 40mg/kg was found to be lesser than the effect produced by phenylbutazone 100mg/kg body weight. Hence the present study revealed that kalnar parpam is having anti-inflammatory activity.
