This novel influenza virus A /H1N1 contains a
combination of human, swine and avian virus genes. One
of the most notable thing about this novel Influenza A/
H1N1 virus is high efficiency of human to human
transmission which has culminated into alarming spread
across the globe in very short time resulting in pandemic. This calls for good laboratory services for rapid
diagnosis and treatment.
