Considerable ill health and deaths in the community are caused by respiratory diseases, especially acute infectious. Aside from this reason, the problem of respiratory diseases needs more attention from public health workers, also in the context of tuberculosis control diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis at the general health institutions from among the chest symptomaticsattending them is a key activity under India’s National Tuberculosis Programme (NTP)
