Abstract

The present paper gives information on the prevalence of specific and non- specific tuberculin sensitivity among schoolchildren in different regions of India. It is based on data collected by a WHO regional BCG assessment team working in different parts of India during the first 9 months of 1954. Sponsored by the Govern- ment of India, the team worked in co-operation with the Indian Council of Medical Research and under the technical direction of the WHO Tuberculosis Research Office.
