Abstract

The present paper outlines the organization of rural tuberculosis control within the framework of the National Tuberculosis Programme. As such it does not deal only with the problem of bringing relief to individual patients’ suffering, but with an attempt at controlling tuberculosis as a communicable disease in the social context of today’s India.
