Abstract

59 patients of pregnancy associated pulmonary tuberculosis are studied. 31 patients (52.5 per cent; were previously known cases of pulmonary tuberculosis when they first attended the antenatal clinic. 19 patients (32.2 per cent) were suspected to be suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis when they attended the antenatal clinic and diagnosis confirmed by chest X-ray examination. 9 patients (15.3 percent) were diagnosed on routine antenatal chest X-ray examinations.
